Dislikes:Annoying people. I have no patience for them.
Hobbies:Bowling of course, but that really isn't a hobby, it is a passion. Love working out in my yard. I have 2 acres, so it consumes a lot of time. I also collect cookie jars, which is different, but I like it. They are mostly Warner Bros and Disney.
Heroes:My nephew Lance Corporal Nicholas A. Walts, USMC Marine Corps. He has already done one tour in Iraq.

Hello,
It has been a very frightening past few days here is San Diego. Late Monday evening, I was put in a Voluntary Evacuation. The Harris fire that was in the about 15 miles south of my home had moved north by northwest and had started burning Mt. San Miguel which is only 1 1/2 away. It had burned up to the Sweetwater Reservoir and that is what put me in a panic.
Monday night around midnight, we had loaded up our vehicles with as much as we could (insurance papers, passports, picture frames, clothes, bedding, etc..) we have three dogs, so we got the necessary things we needed for them together and just wanted to be ready if we received the reverve 911 call.
Here is a picture of Mt. San Miguel yesterday afternoon. The winds had changed direction and made fighting the fires so much better and the helicopters really were able to keep up with the hot spots around Mt. San Miguel.

Well,
Tonight has been my best night in this league since we started out the season. I started the first game with a 268, had the first 4 strikes, then slammed a nine pin and then threw the next 5 strikes and had a blow-out 7 pin and spared it for the 268. Second game started out with the first 3 strikes, then left a 4-10 split, but managed to pull out a 223 game. The third game I had to start moving on the approach and also moved my line in on the lanes to find some hold area down the lane. I started out with a solid 9 pin, the a 10 pin and missed it, then slammed a 7 pin. I did manage to shoot 206, I got the first strike in the tenth and I need the second one for my 700 but fell short with 697. I did manage to raise my average up to 222 after tonight.

Last night started out pretty well, had the first four and then rang a ten pin. The first of many ten pins for the night. Parkway Bowl put brand new pins in and you know how that goes with new pins.
It was the last night for grandfather average, which I was at 232. This league uses low average to high average for the line-up, so, being anchor, I am usually giving pins away. Last night, I was giving 22 pins a game and I started out 232, lost my point. The guy I was bowling against shot 220. Second game, I struggled for a 196, couldn't carry for shit, lost my point. The guy shot 178. Then the third game, threw the last 8 strikes for a 255 and 683 series. And I finally won my point. As a team, we went 21-10. Next week, we start with our new average, and I will have a 226 and finally some pins. woo hoo!

Tonight pretty well sucked. We were on lanes 1 and 2, which I hate at this center (Kearny Mesa Bowl). First game struck out in the 8th, 9th and tenth for a 225, then the second game struggled for a 219 and then the last game just fell apart for a 179 and a 623 series. I think I dropped my average down to 218.

Last night went pretty well, I got a Ebonite NVS drilled and thought I would try it out. I started out the first game with a blow-out 7 pin and then the next nine and left a 3-6-7-10 split my 2nd ball in the tenth and then chopped the 3 pin off the 6-10 for a 273 game. Second game shot 223 with a couple slammed 9 pins. The third game I had had a 258 for a 754 series.
